Statements such as this one obviously mean that the person saying it is not taking the sex of the candidate into consideration and is in no way sexist...

Oh man what a great debate this could make, because well there's reason of why people want a black/female president... and there's reason of why that's wrong and there's reasons of why it's is right yet wrong.. It's like a endless circle where most won't agree.

Truth is that people want to see something that relates to them in a certain personal level (aka women and black people... ) because of struggles that their "group" has confronted in the past. I understand the whole reasoning and emotional background, and I think that I'd be refreshing.. Yet I don't think those should be the things that need to be taken into consideration when it comes to voting... But can you blame people for trying to change things? and trying to somehow portrait themselves in such an import position? ... I mean, It's not like this has happened before. It's a big step in history.. for America (seeing as other countries seem to be more accepting about this whole ideas and don't go in such controversy because of sex or skin color... but again American history with these two is scandalous...)

Hillary should of been our next President. Barack is nothing but a wanna be star. He never was never a leader of anything. He's a follower what ever the big guys with money say he does. How do you think he got where he is today? Money the big cos will rule him along with his rev wright.   Mccain a good guy but to old standard.

If a third world country like  Chile haves Michelle Bachelets I don't see why a "modern advanced country" is so shocked about even having the option of having a female president and why sex is even being an issue. I suppose is the whole change.. but still if Chile cans... why is so hard for USA?

Why pick a qualified person to be president, when you can simply focus on the sex of the person and toss a woman into the position?

I mean that is not sexist in the least...

Why just focus on sexism? ... Seriously, This is not only about women; if you haven't notice black people are in the same position if we are making generalization... and there's black female people.. So... ?

I understand your point; It's valid but somehow the other one is valid too. It's not ideal - Let's accept that. They should choose a leader by their qualifications not their appearance but after having that denied for years and having the possibility to do it now... Well people just want something new.. and all of the things I said before.

Was this sarcasm? I don't care about the sex of a president, but statistically, and I think genetically, women are more emotional than men. Not that emotions are a bad thing, but it can seriously get in the way.

Qualifications?
Positions?
Policies?

Eh, fuck all that stuff when you can simply say that you are voting for a woman on the basis of her being a woman.

That's the feminist doctrine, right?

Of course this doctrine is not sexist in the least...

It's not about*women* If Hilliary's loud mouth , cheating husband, would have kept his mouth shut, she would have been the democratic pick.

Condi for President.

She won't run because she knows that the racists will tear her apart with terms such as porch monkey and other terms of endearment from the black community towards blacks that dare to not tow the Democratic line.

Either way, Condi would need another thread of her own.
